Four.
“They go we go, I want you to know what I did I did.”
The frightened fairy whimpered as she watched her boyfriend search restlessly in the back of his computer. She was silently praying he wouldn’t find her, but she was pretty fucked at this point. To her dismay, he found her. His hands grabbed her body and she meeped in protest, fluffing out her tail.
“Gotcha,” she smirked, grinning as if he had caught a perfect-natured legendary in Pokemon HeartGold. He pulled his hand out from the darkness and opened his palm.
A little pink-haired, kitty-eared fairy stared at him with wide eyes.
He stared back.
She stared some more.
He stared.
She stared.
He blinked. he blinked ten more times in disbelief. What the fuck..? Was he high? No, he was completely sober. Was that…thing real? Curious, he poked the top of her head gently.
She meeped.
That voice. That adorable little meep. Where had he heard it before? It was so familiar, so cute that it made him laugh everytime he heard it. Everytime- everytime his girlfriend made the same exact noise. He opened his mouth in shock over this connection, and brought her up to his face so she was eye-level with him.
“….Courtney?”
Balls. Balls balls balls balls balllllllllllls. He recognized her. He fucking recognized her. She sat in his palm, ears flattening. She bit her lip and looked at him. Well, there was no denying it now. He knew it was her. Sighing, she nodded her head sadly.
“Eli…” she finally answered, lowering her gaze. His eyes widened a bit and he blinked again.
“What happened?” He questioned softly, tilting his head to the side like a cute puppy dog.
“I…um…” she stuttered, biting her lip. “Um.. I.. I drank this weird soda, and then.. um… I felt weird, and then my hair started to like, turn pink and um.. uhhh, then I went to leave and passed out and… and..” she shivered, looking down at her feet. Oh, god, this was the end. Her doom. “and-and-and now I’m like this and I don’t know what’s going on and I’m so sorry and I love you and-and-and-“
He silenced her with a soft kiss. “Shh,” he whispered. It’s okay. We’ll fix it.” He smiled sweetly.
She blinked in surprise, uncovering her eyes. He wasn’t mad? He didn’t hate her? She wasn’t being fed to his kitty cat for din-din? lolwut? She stared, awe-struck by his…calmness.
“…But how?” she mewed, curling her tail around her body protectively. His face turned to a pondering expression and he glanced at the monitor.
“The internet knows everything,” he stuck out his tounge playfully. She smiled lightly.
“You so crazy Eli. I like it.” she giggled. Feeling adventurous, she dashed up his arm and sat on his shoulder, crossing his legs. “To Google!” she commanded. He laughed and sat down at his desk, opening up his browser. He began to type when the sound of a stomach rumbling echoed through the bedroom.
Silence.
“Are you hungry?” He smirked. Her face turned redder than her usual hair color, and she laughed nervously. He sighed and sat up, making his way to the kitchen. he felt her tug on his shirt for support and smiled. Reaching the kitchen, she stopped and held out his palm, letting her on-board, then lowered her to the counter. “Stay there,” he ordered her, tapping her lightly on the head. She made a pouty face at him and scrunched up her nose, sticking out her tongue. “Be good.”
“Hmph.” She stuck her nose into the air and sat on the counter, waiting obediently. Eli was navigating the fridge, searching for food.
“I heard that,” he warned, wagging his finger at her. “You’re lucky you’re so damn cute.”
She turned her head and crossed her arms. “How am I cute? I’m a fucking fairy,” she grumbled.
“Well you’re a cute fairy,” he retorted, “and I love you no matter what.” She blushed upon hearing this and smiled weakly. What a lovely boyfriend she had. Normally she would giggle and hug him, planting a kiss on his lips. But she couldn’t do that in her current size. She pouted, wishing she wasn’t so little.
Just as she thought about it, she felt dizzy and everything shot upwards. Her mind boggled from the headrush. Blinking to clear away the haze, she gasped upon learning that she was back to normal. She checked the top of her head. No kitty ears. She looked behind her. No tail. No wings. Red hair. Yay!
“Do you want Frosted Flakes with milk or some pizza- Whoa,” Eli turned around, jumping back in surprise at his girlfriend sitting crossed-legged on the counter. “…Well that was quick.”
She blushed again. “Yeah, I guess,” she agreed. “That was…crazy.” With that, she hopped off the counter, giving him the hugest hug he had ever recieved in his life. “I love you Eli,” she purred, laying her head against his chest, hearing his heartbeat. He smiled and stroked her red locks, planting a kiss on her forehead.
“I love you too Courtney,” he replied, squeezing her lightly and smiling. Her heart fluttered. What a insane day. Her face became redder upon thinking about everything that happened to her. A make-out session with Eli upon her arrival, then she gets turned into a fairy, and he still loves her. Her face became hotter as thoughts whirled in her head.
“Nice kitty ears,” Eli suddenly remarked, snapping her out of her daze. She blinked. Whaa? Looking behind her, she saw a tail swishing about, and her boyfriend was poking one of the cat ears which had just decided to appear. her face flushed with embarassment. Eeep!
He laughed softly upon seeing her face. “I still think you look cute,” he reasurred her. She opened her mouth to protest but he silenced her by putting his finger on her lips. “Kitty ears or not, I still love you.”
“Butbutbut, I’m a cat!” she whined, twiddling her thumbs. “and if they keep popping out everytime I get embarassed, what will I do?” He shifted her feet nervously.
“But you’re my kitty-cat,” he patted her on the head. “and I’ll hide them. Like this.” He leaned in closer to her and poked one of her ears, folding it against her hair while embracing her. She blushed and looked up at him in surprise, only to be met by a tender kiss. She sighed hapilly and hugged him tight.
Everything was okay, and she really fucking loved him.

Xylophones at 5:45 AM meant it was time for school. Yawning sleepilly, Courtney stretched her body and leaped off her bed, silencing her iPod and sashaying to the bathroom. After last night’s insane fantasy events she and Eli had had a full-on three hour makeout session and laid together in harmony, whispering sweet nothings and giggling over nerdy things. She hummed to herself as she threw on skinny jeans, a blue striped tank-top, her favorite black pleather jacket and clipped her Pokewalker onto her pocket. After fixing her hair and going about her daily morning routine, she was walking down the hallways of her school, racing to reach the cafeteria. Her face turned a tint of pink just thinking about Eli’s adorable smile, and her footsteps began to speed up with determination. She swung open the doors to the cafeteria.
Voila!
Eli sat at the usual table, alone, wearing a hat and prodding the stylus on his DS. He glanced up from his Pokemon battle to deliver a grin to her. She smiled in return and hugged him tightly, kissing him on the lips.
“Hi hi,” she chirped, sitting down next to him. He kissed her on the cheek. “Hi, hi.” She leaned in to see what he was up to on his DS. His Tyranitar was currently beating up an unsuspecting level 23 slowpoke, and she smirked. “You Pokemon nerd,” she teased.
“You Pokemon nerdette,” he shot back, sticking his tongue out. She rolled her eyes, defeated, and noticed a certain blue-eyed, tall boy with skinny jeans and a layered red t-shirt join their table, slumping down his purple backpack.
“Hey Tom,” Eli greeted his friend, who nodded in response then left as quicly as he arrived to grab breakfast. The curly-haired boy looked at his girlfriend, making the ever-adorable oichowitis expression, then smiling.
She smiled back, poking his left leg and fixing the contents of her large gray purse. So much stuff. She noticed students leaving the cafeteria and assumed that the bell had rung. Eli noticed as well and stood up, clasping her hand in his and making his way out the door. She leaned against his arm. She felt a surge of power holding her adorable boyfriend’s hand. Look at me bitches, she thought, look at me and my fucking cute boyfriend. I’m a senior, bitches! Eli stopped before the other doors and turned to face her, pulling her in for a hug.
“I love you so much,” he whispered into her ear. She grinned a coy smile and kissed him lovingly on his Dr. pepper chap-sticked lips, then released her hand and turned to strut down the walkway to building 3. She wished she could walk with him to classes, but seeing him in-between was fine with her. She casually placed her earbuds into her ears and clicked the play button on her iPod, causing a flurry of techno remixes to surge into her eardrums. She strolled past sophomores making out with their boyfriends in a display of attention, and waved to familiar faces in the hallway. Her student aide badge clinked with each step she took, and envious underclassmen gazed at it, some recognizing her from aiding their 4th block classes.
She pushed open the doors to building two and started to head up the stairs, noticing Tom on the other side walking in the same direction. She clicked the volume up and notch and walked wtih swagger, passing him and entering building three. Seniors lined the hallway, chatting idly to friends about Prom or racing to their AP classes. She eyed Carl talking to Dena at her locker.
“Caaaarrrrrlll,” she greeted him in a familiar tone used by a certain dismayed llama on Youtube. he turned and grinned. “You’re just terrible today.”
“I know, I have a serious problem,” he replied, getting the reference. She smiled, content the exchange that they utter daily, and waltzed into AP Microeconomics.
